every 6th timestep takes about 8 times of computingtime than all other.

is it normal, or is it because of leak in Memory-Bandwith?

Hi, that's normal behaviour, every 7th timestep is a "radiation timestep" which does quite a bit of extra calculations. It is documented on the "home" CPDN site somewhere: http://climateprediction.net
