I am considering buying a new computer and have been trying to decide between Win7 Pro and Win8. My main concern is how CPDN runs on each. I have noted on these pages some concerns that CPDN does seem to have problems with Win8.1. Can those who are using Win8 please give me some advise. |

Running win8 since June then upgraded to 8.1 (in a virtualbox). My first Windows experience since Win95. Using BOINC 7.0.64. No problems with user installation, I manually start boinc after reboots ( and clean shutdown before, if possible) |

You might be better posting this question in the "Windows" message board. I'm using BOINC 7.2.33 with Win 8.1 since those became available. The only problems I encountered were with "permissions". I start BOINC "As administrator" and it runs just fine. |
