Hi,

I'm fairly new to this BOINC thing, and just wondering what I'm supposed to do if I get a download error on a task? There seems to be no way to retry the download that I can see.

If it helps at all, the work unit name is hadam3p_eu_d5oh_2003_1_008075384

Thank you

Not much you can do except wait for a good task to come along. My understanding is that this is probably part of a batch of defective tasks.

Hi asterix

Yes, as Dave says, nothing that you can do.

This problem is discussed in the thread near yours, MORE DOWNLOAD ERRORS.

Basically, it's an old task from July 2012, and, while the task zip is still on the server, all of the support files are long gone, and it's those missing files that causes the download failure.
You can see when a task was originally created by looking at the Work unit ID column of the model of interest.

As for why this type of model gets put into the download queue again, see Thyme Lawn's post here in the middle of the thread mentioned above.
