Anyone know what error 403 is? Can't find anything in the forums.
I've just reinstalled BOINC - version 6.10.58 - which I've done several times before with no problem - from scratch - including data files.
Preferences as before - for years!
Now can't get any tasks.

Any ideas?

403 Forbidden is a server error, which can affect ANY web site. You'd have to "Google it" to find an explanation.

The 403 error here was a site wide error from half an hour ago.
I was talking to Andy at the time, and he's fixed it. (Otherwise you wouldn't have been able to post here, either. :) )

The current BOINC version is 7.2.42, which would be better the next time you re-install.

Your computer has crashed the last few tasks that it was sent, so it's been slowly downgraded by the BOINC system to one task per day. Which as can be seen in the list that you posted, you've had.

If you look in the stderr messages for the failed tasks, you'll see this:

execl(/Library/Application Support/BOINC Data/projects/climateprediction.net/hadam3p_eu_um_6.09_i686-apple-darwin, 158740) failed!

Whatever that means on a Mac.

I'd noticed the failures - they were all with - "Validate state Invalid" so I assumed they were model/system errors.

Just got one task which is running OK so doesn't look like a problem at my end.

Bit sniffy of the system to block me when it's not my computer's fault.

I've stuck with 6.10.58 as it's been exceptionally stable on a Mac.

Just double checking, all my failed tasks were associated with work units which had many tasks failing in the same way.
