Nepotism is definitely at work here. All the moderators have trillions of credits whilst I have a mere 76 billion. astroWX does have 7 computers with 4 processors to each. Added to that the moderators have all been around since the early days of the project. Or perhaps the nepotism is their being given extra computers? |

I realized that,I wasn't seriously suggesting they give the moderators nice shiny fast computers. |

I am realy tired from this project. Instead of solving old and known problems, it looks like, project admins are creating new and new. I say, "it looks like" - this is my simple discourage, sorry... Right now I am retargeting to another CPU project until the new and stable future will come to CPDN :( ... |

I have WU in progress that are also granting me millions of credits, way above what is considered customary. Please fix the credit machine. |

You can decrease your ignorance by reading through (a large part) of this thread. :) Unfortunately, all of the threads about the credits problem are attracting a lot of "chatter" by now, so one needs to dig down a bit. |

Thanks for the reply. I see others have the same problem. One bloke suggested I delete the statistics_climateprediction.net.xml file, which I did to no avail. I have suspended this project for well over two years now. So I was alarmed that my computer was still crunching. Today the numbers are showing up in www.allprojectstats.com. I hope you guys do something quickly. |

Once they fix the problem it will still exist locally for a while on your credit tab. Deleting the XML file would help with that. It wont help until they fix the current. |

And then they told me I would loose all those credits... They have gone up again! But it is still only a laughable 664 billion. Nothing compared to some other guys here... |

Hi Chaps, I am currently trying to work out what is going wrong with the credit scripts. CPDN uses a bespoke credit system, rather than the traditional BOINC method. Since we migrated to a new database server we have seen an exponential leap in credits. I suspect that this will be due to a difference in the behaviour of the database maths functions, between the old and new servers. I am going through the script statement by statement to work out which step is failing, so eventually this will be fixed (yeah, I know, sorry about that :-( ). However, given the size of the database, each step takes several hours to complete, and produces a ridiculously large amount of data, which takes time to analyse. Fingers crossed for a good outcome this time. Jonathan CPDN Sys-Admin |

The stats have been exported. You should see some of the totals, they have gone past FreeDC credit counter limits. Conan |

Hi Folks, As I have'nt crunched here for about 3 years I would like to thank you for the extra 250,500,000 plus credits loaded to tempt me back. Seriously though, what ever you've sent to BOINC stats has made it go completely nuts! Good luck with sorting it out. Dave 'Tackleway' |
