I\'m going to buy a new PC to exchange with my current one, and i have a CLIMATE WU that is about 5%. The question is:
Can i move it to the new PC without losing the current work and not have to download a new one?

Thanks in advance

You can simply move whole BOINC folder.
A better way is to install BOINC is usual and overwrite with your on-going BOINC folder.
When backuping to a CD/DVD, beware of read-only attributes. Otherwise should be just fine.

In addition to Honza's answer, you'll probably have to give the new computer the same name. If you give it a different name it's possible that the WU will be discarded as invalid for the computer when you start BOINC.

Isn't it that when you move whole BOINC folder, your machine name, Account ID resp. attached project(s), scheduled WUs etc. are moving also (they are stored in .XML files)?
NB: i should have mentioned that an installation of BOINC sw but skipping registration should be the procedure.

The network name is reported back. This can be changed, but I would only allow BOINC to see one change at a time.
