Am I right in assuming that BOINC only uses space on the system (Windows XP) - my system only has a small C: drive (where I want the software), but another big drive where I put data - how do I tel BOINC to put its data there? |

The solution is to install BOINC in its own directory on the partition where you want the data. Just change the default installation path. |

I have the same problem, and do not believe that this should be the final solution. I have a 'program' partition where I put software, and which is locked down to prevent unwanted execution and modifications. I have a 'data' partition where applications can write stuff, but which can not be executed. None of my tools would expect to find application code on the data partition, nor do I want to start making exceptions. |

See <a href="http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=444">this thread</a>, but note the disclaimers. :) |
