I have two HADCMs under Linux and I also do not see trickles on the web. As for the credit it seems the last update picked up by external sites is 9 Oct, so it may be not be running daily yet http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?page=proj&proj=bcpdn

Trickles problem has been reported to project along with a request for timeline on running of daily credit script. Link a couple of posts down from here now says updated yesterday afternoon. I see a spam marketing post I reported at the same time has been hidden or deleted.

Not sure it's been fixed. I got only one trickle on this one and no more after that. The task has finished. The other task is still running but again only one trickle on the web.

I sense another email to Andy coming on. One of mine on my ageing netbook which is so slow it still has a couple of Linux tasks. has this one one of its two tasks.

So clearly some tasks are showing trickles on the web site. Probably won't have time before Monday but if nothing shows up by then I will try and do some digging so as to give Andy as much information as possible to help him in tracking down why some tasks should show trickles and others not.

Have sent email to Andy. I notice that at least one other task from this batch has also completed but only one trickle shows.

Geophi has sent me this as a pm following my email to Andy.

Unless I'm mistaken, all hadcm3s tasks only have 1 trickle listed from way back. Obviously not a good way to go. I don't remember if more are sent, and just not listed, or only one is sent. It's been too long since I've allowed my PCs to run those. This was complained about to the programmers back a year and a half ago or longer ago than that.

I don't remember ever noticing this so it may be something that only affects some batches of hadcm3s but if it does affect them all, then I suspect that as a relatively old model type, it won't be updated.

Edit: I had to go back to 2015 to the version 7.2 of hadcm3s to find one on my boxes but they had 2 trickle up messages listed.

As I said, my memory is not good on this. Dave if you have recently run some hadcm3s tasks that did not fail early, you could at least verify if stdoutae.txt contains trickle up messages beyond the first trickle.

My last completed hadcm3s was from Feb of this year, a 14 year 168 month task that had one trickle and was application version 8.29.

Previous completions from 2015 were shorter tasks that had 2 trickles (as they were supposed to) from application version 7.24. Looking at the listing of all my hadcm3s tasks, none of them have credits listed.

I have now one hadcm3s_c0g6_204412_120_602 at 8.7% with no trickles on the web. On a previous computer it generated 1 trickle at timestep 259,272.

I do not have stdoutae.txt, but others stdout_mon/um and so far no info there. My other hadcm3s that finished were from batch 671 and 599 and generated only 1 trickle at different timesteps

Just had message from Andy at the project and he confirms the problem is only affecting hadcm3s tasks and is being investigated.

Both of the hadcms crashed at 84%, but it was after fresh start up of the system. Nevertheless both generated only 1 trickle per WU.

It seems hadcms still do not report trickles on the web.

I got two hadcm3s_120 batch 564 who are at 6% with no trickles (120 months) Those are old WUs so I wonder should I even crunch them?

These are 120 month models (so 10 year) and they only upload at 1 year or 10%. But the only trickle that is recorded on the webpage, and credited, is the first one. They also can be funky with recorded CPU times, and therefore sec/timestep, especially if they are interrupted. You can run them to a completion/success, but only get credit for one trickle.

Charming. They spent a year on someone's computer so I will give them a try on my Linux box who dried of CPDN WUs.
