Hi, Welcome to the forums. Two things are worth checking. http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/forum_thread.php?id=7931 A thread that tells you the BOINC settings needed to get the best chances of tasks completing successfully with CPDN. Secondly, go to your antivirus and make sure you exclude both the directory where the BOINC program is installed and the BOINC directory from all virus scans. If the antivirus locks a file when BOINC is trying to write to it this will cause the task to crash. Because most if not all other projects have much shorter tasks you will usually get away with it but when some tasks can take weeks of computer time the number of shots the antivirus gets at disrupting things is much greater. Hi, Thank you for your answer. Unfornutately I can't setting up the antivirus because the work station is at work :/ All of options in the link you provided me are correct. For the moment, I suspend all tasks. I'm looking for another solution. Thank you for your help. |

If you can get from someone with administrator access the times when the scans are run you could try using the setting in tools>Computing preferences>CPU Usage to suspend computation at the times the antivirus is being run. I don't use windows at all these days but think this is worth a try. |

Please note that BOINC is automatically set to pause all the tasks when running on battery. Double check the settings so that it is always working. Note: When it is running on battery it is not CPU-intensive. My Physics Project and papers preserving project. |
