Dear admins,

after a mail that my version would lead to premature termination of tasks I did an upgrade. This yielded computation errors and termination of the active tasks at the client. But seemingly, the server did not recognise this situation (I tried update and reset of the project), and the tasks are still in progress on the website.

As the deadlines are not before March 2016, I'd suggest to cancel the following tasks (and delete this post afterwards), as there is no result to be expected from them:

The tasks cant be canceled. They will just have to time out. The lost tasks will show as in progress until that time. This is not unusual.

BTW: will my host receive tasks, when the server thinks, there are 5 active ones?

Yes. That should be no problem.

I believe if you REMOVE (delete) the project from your computer the host will "kill" any workunits that it thinks are present on your machine.

Then, you add the project back after a few minutes (check the webpage to make sure the workunits are really gone).

In my case I know this is a server side issue. Interruptions during the communications or something. I never got the files but the server still thinks it sent them to me. I have tried everything I could think of to clear them on my end, including the suggested deleting ad re-adding the project...It didn't help.

As to what to do, I can concur with JIM and geophi. I have 6 tasks from February (due to expire on 29 May 2015). So yes I am waiting for them to time out (actually, I am simply ignoring them), and I have gotten many tasks since then.

Anyways, it was a bad batch of shorts, so I doubt CPDN cares about them either.
