Hi, I had over 14711000 credit and on 23 March 2016 more than 5139000 credit was
taken away, resulting in a new credit of only about 9571000. I do not understand
how 35% of the credit dissapeared. On the same day many other users lost credit,
some of them a lot (like me) and others not so much.

Does anyone know what is happening?

Thanks.

Hopefully they will come back

Well... Me too, I loose something arround 100k in one shot going from a little more than 160k to something a little above 50k. I'm disappointed. I will temporarely suspend the currently running 6 day task untill my credit get fixed...
Sorry, I will focus more on rosetta or some other scientific researches instead: they never "forgot" credits during the last 17 years I was crunching...

This is a link to a short explanation, found earlier in this thread. (It is a long thread but the answers are in here. Several times.)

Not sure if I should be posting this as I don't want to raise false hopes but credits are currently being re-calculated and should include archived credit.

Many thanks to Andy for his work on this and to the moderators who have fielded most of the queries/flack on this.

That will with luck leave more time for looking at the posting new topics problem which I am told looks as if it is due to an upgrade from PHP5.4 To PHP.5

I do realise that some like myself may be old enough to remember a different meaning of upgrade which had something to do with an improvement!

Archived credits now appear on user pages but won't be included in the total until the credit script finishes running. My account page currently shows that I'll be getting back more than 5.5 million when it's done:
Computing and credit

Total credit 5,582,914
Recent average credit 2,199.89
Archived results (not viewable) 559
Archived credit (included in total) 5,557,035

The credit snafu is still not fixed for me. My archived credits are almost the same value as the total credits, but it's still about half the original amount.

As stated in news and announcements thread, the credit script has been set to run at 18:00 UK time. The archived credit won't appear until the script has run.

Though credits still not assigned to tasks from trickle ups so I suspect the script has fallen over. I guess Andy will be back in soon.

Looks like things are back to normal credit-wise on this cpdn site with new credits being accumulated and archived credits included in the totals. Will have to wait a day to see if it makes it up to the stats sites.

The Top participants list is very muddled at present.
I've disappeared again, and if you look at positions 41-60, the credits start at 13.5 megs, and go down to 11.3
Then look at the next page, 61-80:
It starts at 15.7 and goes down to 13.7

But elsewhere things already look good.

Got the credit back in my account page on CPDN, but not yet in the stats of the currently running BOINC manager... Will wait a little more.
And yes, confirmed too, the lost part of the credits were from my former computers.

My credits have returned. Looking at top participants in UKBOINC team so have others' as my position for total credit has dropped off the first page.

My credits have not yet returned. I started losing credits slowly, starting March 15. Then on March 24 I dropped from 4,606,884 credits to about 3,770,442 credits. Instead, my credits should have gone up because I completed four Weather At Home 2 (wah2) v8.12 work units on March 28 to March 29. I received them on March 15. These credits are my totals, not just ClimatePrediction, but the drop seems to because my recent c.p. credits seem to have disappeared.

Now it seems that the accounting has started working for others a few days ago, but not yet for me.

Hi Jean

It depends on where you look.
On your Account page, your archived credits are show as back again, and if you look at your Tasks list, you should find that the trickle_up-to-credit script has updated the numbers there.

But there are still a few problems, that are being worked on, and what's on the external stats sites is up to them. (Our export files have the current date stamp.)
