Hi. Just got me some tasks to crunch, but it seems that my internet is too slow for 2 machines to request work at the same time. Guess I will have to make a network schedule to prevent this from happening again. But, on both my machines I now have 2 tasks that failed to download. Will I just have to abort these or is there a way to make BOINC try to fetch them again? Thx :) ChrisD |

Not entirely convinced it is your internet connection. Others have had problems with some tasks failing to download recently. |

It's definitely not your problem ChrisD. Clicking the '+' on the Stderr line of one of your failed tasks (e.g. hadam3p_pnw_xg5r_200712_12_010210835_1) shows that there was a permanent HTTP error on one of the input files (i.e. it wasn't available at the URL the server told BOINC to fetch it from). I've passed that up to the project team. "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |

The problem has been traced to a now corrected permission denied error on transferring the affected workunits to the download server. "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer |
