Pretty much the same a week later. Running only 2 wah2_8.25_i686-pc-linux-gnu processes but also running two WCG HST1 _T325_ processes. $ sensors coretemp-isa-0000 Adapter: ISA adapter Physical id 0: +47.0°C (high = +78.0°C, crit = +88.0°C) Core 0: +46.0°C (high = +78.0°C, crit = +88.0°C) Core 1: +43.0°C (high = +78.0°C, crit = +88.0°C) Core 2: +47.0°C (high = +78.0°C, crit = +88.0°C) Core 3: +44.0°C (high = +78.0°C, crit = +88.0°C) |

Like a vampire that cannot rest, batch #595 is back again, fleetingly - batch list. |

Batch 609 and assuming it has the same sized zips will challenge any plans that don't have a good bit of space above normal data usage. 145 monthly zips at 47MB each comes out at over 6GB. Anyone with a fast computer and dialup will probably be producing data faster than it can be uploaded! |

That would be and batch 613 in case anyone was confused! |

Running two batch 607 and two batch 608; all are making trickles. As has been noted elsewhere, there have been several batches released recently - new work units in batches #599 and #602, and batches #603-615 (batch list). [Edit: #603-615, not #503-516.] |

There is a large batch (#617) of 11,310 SAS50/13 now available (batch list). Note also that the "Recent CPDN Submissions" list on the project main page now contains the batch number, so you can find out what the batch is about. |

A relatively small number of work units for HADCM3S have been added and snapped up immediately: 252 units added to batch #599, 93 units added to batch #602, and a new batch #618 with 15 units (batch list). |

599's and 617's failing in my linux host With SIGSEGV: segmentation violation |

599's and 617's failing in my linux host Probably two different issues there. There are a lot of failures with the hadcm3s tasks as the scientists say they are testing the bounds of parameter values that may produce realistic climates. In the process, a lot of tasks are failing after producing unrealistic climates. This is happening on all platforms. On Mac and Linux, certain batches that have natural/naturalized initial parameter values are failing on January 1st of the year following the year the model started. So if a model started on December 1st, it will fail after one model month. If it starts on Oct 1st, it will fail after 3 model months, etc. They are looking into the cause of this. Until then, there will be an occasional batch that has this undesirable behavior. |

The PNW model at 25 km resolution comes in a variety of durations: 16, 21, 24, 48, 49 and 120 months. A new batch of 60 work units, batch #620, is 60 months long (batch list). |

Looking at the batch list, I hope those who have set their preferences to only accept the, "short" models are paying attention. 643 23-Aug-17 HADCM3S 8.34 120 month hadcm3s_f000_206412_120_643_011216372 19 [Batch split.] At 120 months, I suspect these are not exactly short! |
