One potential problem is at the top of the logThat statement doesn't need so many words, it should just read "This is BOINC and may not function properly" |

Many thanks for so much answers. I have killed WSL2 and installed VirtualBox with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Version 7.18.1 is what I get installing boinc, and it get tasks on the AMD 5900X with the same setup. But on Haswell I don't get tasks. Both have rdrand and avx2. I don't know what is missing. I should turn off the Haswell PC to save power. |

I don't know what is missing. You should be able to find out by running the ldd command on the program file. Here is an example: [/var/lib/boinc/projects/climateprediction.net]$ ldd hadam4_um_8.52_i686-pc-linux-gnu linux-gate.so.1 (0xf7edd000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0xf7ec3000) libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0xf7df1000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0xf7dd0000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0xf7c28000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xf7edf000) localhost:jeandavid8[/var/lib/boinc/projects/climateprediction.net]$ ldd hadam4_se_8.52_i686-pc-linux-gnu.so linux-gate.so.1 (0xf7f3b000) libnsl.so.1 => /lib/libnsl.so.1 (0xf7dec000) libstdc++.so.6 => /lib/libstdc++.so.6 (0xf7c59000) libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0xf7b87000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0xf7b6a000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0xf79c2000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xf7f3d000) |

I don't know what is missing. sudo apt-get install lib32ncurses6 lib32z1 lib32stdc++-7-devI think still works with 22.04 to get all the 32bit libraries needed for these tasks but even if they are missing, it shouldn't stop tasks downloaded, they just all crash within seconds of starting. I have seen this issue of nothing downloading on the boards before but I don't think there was ever an explanation of what caused the problem. this thread Probably has all the information on this that is available right now. |

Current batch close to running out. There is a batch of HADSM4 tasks in testing at the moment which should be finished by Monday. It is likely there will be a larger batch for the main site following the results being looked at. (Assuming the complete OK." All ten testing tasks completed. So results will presumably be looked at tomorrow. (Though not knowing where in the world the responsible researcher is it may happen earlier or later.) |

Hi again @dave18874629 . Just letting you know I've managed to start looking at these today and everything is looking really good so far. I've been in touch with @sarahsparrow1 about next steps so there should hopefully be plenty of new work out before too long. Thanks muchly for all your help. Sue This is for the ANZ regional models so Windows tasks. The tasks in testing completed a while ago but other work prevented further progress till now. |

Any idea when Windows work might appear? it's been been about a year since I had anything from CPDN |

Dave posted the message from the researcher. And that's all we know. :( |

Sometimes, after testing, the researcher just has to confirm the results make sense and then write a file that generates a much larger number/range of initial conditions or assumptions about different variables. Other times things about the model physics need changing which might need further testing work. An of course there is the fact that Sarah at the project and Sue are in opposing time zones so their communications might regularly result in a 12 hour delay. |

I had thought that two different lots of work on testing site would lead to more over here by now. As it is, I am beginning to suspect I will run out before the hoppers are refilled. |

I have run out long ago. I did get four N144 and two N216 reruns (a year old), but they are now gone too. |

I did get four N144 and two N216 reruns (a year old), but they are now gone too.I always pause at least some of my main site work when I get testing tasks which slows things down. There has also been quite a lot of hadcm3s activity in testing so I imagine there will at some point be some of that appearing on the main site. Edit:16 hadsm4 tasks from testing now running. There are another 20 waiting. (Or not if someone has grabbed them since the last server status page update for testing.) |

And, a more careful look at the tasks explains the range of time estimates. (Some are just one month simulations and there are others at 2,3,4,5 and 6 months!) |

All my one and two month tasks have completed. there are three four five and six month tasks still running will I think be highly likely to succeed. About four days till the last of mine finish. |

Should have been some HADSM4 tasks going out over the weekend but the batch file fell over. It has been restarted now but generating the tasks takes a while so it will probably be a few hours till we know if it is fixed or not. |

Curse you Linux users, I'm still waiting for Windows work. |

I got four of them and they each have about 1/2 hour on them, so they are not crashing in the first few seconds.
