Project credit is being generated internally, but Credit values have not been exported since November 8th.

Can someone please investigate ?

As of the time of this posting BOINC STATS has not posted an update for this project.

The last BOINC STATS update was a "TEAM" update time stamped at
2017-11-06 18:21:41 UTC (29 days 23:02:56 old) so we are one month out as of today on external stats updates.

Hard to imagine that a project of this size and importance has only one or two people running things and in a position to "fix" issues that even rookie projects with less than a 1000 users can handle.

Thanks

I don't know how many are running things. I could probably name about five off the top of my head. I don't know what the priorities are for the project but I know I would put resolving the problem that causes many Linux tasks to crash ahead of credit export or even just credit being allocated. - I can't earn credit if there aren't any tasks for my computers. Sarah and others at the project are aware of this problem and I am sure they will be looking at it as soon as other work allows.

The problem is that they don’t “need” the Linux and Mac user. They have enough Windows machines to crunch all the WU’s that they generate in a relatively timely fashion, so fixing the Linux and Mac bugs are given a very low priority. With such a low priority they are always getting pushed back while they fix the crisis of the week. The same applies to the credit script.

Yep, enough users who aren't too bothered about credits. Though I suspect the credit export is a trivial problem that should only take minutes to sort out. The credit script I am not so sure about.

With regards to the linux and Mac bugs, they haven't as yet managed to work out exactly what the problem is. Fixing I suspect will be trivial once they have identified the problem.

We could do with a credit export before the end of December as some of us are running in formula boinc and it will make quite a difference to the results.

Another email sent.

I don't know if those who were going to look did and couldn't fix it or if they haven't had a chance to look yet.

Mamun and I have just taken a look at this. We hope that on the next run (7pm-ish UK today) that this will be resolved, but please let us know if that is not the case!

Can someone who looks at their stats on external sites let me know tomorrow morning whether anything has changed please?

Thanks.

Local stats 1
Export stats 0

A win for local credit there, the Export side need to up(date) their game (as well as their data files) to at least get a draw !

Does anyone know the url of the CPDN page that BOINCSTATS and other external sites poll so I can bookmark it?

Also, how often does BOINCSTATS poll for updates? - Sarah thinks the script didn't run last night but has been run manually this morning but BOINSTATS is still showing CPDN stats as over a month old. (It was I think about 11:30 I got the email to say this had been done.

Thanks.

Sorry, I don't know where they would be specifically looking.

I think the usual place is: https://www.cpdn.org/stats/
but also see https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/stats/
being used. However since lunchtime I noticed that I no longer have access rights to view that folder's contents...

You're welcome.
Having poked around it looks like this version of the site hangs under https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/ so the stats folder is below that.
Maybe the https://www.cpdn.org/stats/ is just a link to https://www.cpdn.org/cpdnboinc/stats/, the files in both folders were identical.

If these files have been updated with today's date (and data) then Sarah has it sorted once everyone can see them :-)

I've PM'd the BOINCstats admin and will pass on what he says (if he doesn't reply in the forum himself).

BOINCstats is looking in http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/stats/.

This does not always work, when it doesn't then sometimes http://climateprediction.net/stats works.

It is a long standing issue that the exports are not always available at the same location.

The second of your two links was last modified 2015! The first one is giving the forbidden error.

A no-score draw there, pre-match suspense couldn't be maintained as the final minutes ticked by :-(

The match was played behind closed doors as access is still Forbidden.
