Hi, I am running BONIC and for some reason Climate Prediction stoped running. I've deleted it and reinstalled it to BONIC. I've reset my preferences. It seems that what ever I do, it will not download any new tasks. When I click on update, it says "communication deferred 01:00:30.

Hi Bert. Sorry to say but there are no Linux based tasks around at the moment. Keep an eye on the New Work thread on this board for updates.

It seems to me that for all practical purposes, ClimatePrediction.net is dead. One reason is that they have abandoned Linux users. The other is the hardware problems they have experienced the last few months.

It used to be that I could keep 4 cores running on boinc projects, with three of them running ClimatePrediction. Not any more.

I have 16 Windows tasks running on 2 Linux machines, using Wine.

They're about 2.5 days in, and are going to take about 5 days total.

I have four running at present, also on a linux machine under WINE.
