I just encountered a situation that I don’t think I have seen in more than 10 years of running CPDN. The 4 running WU’s suddenly stopped by themselves and the 4 waiting to run started. Please advise. As far as I know I did nothing to cause this.

I've had this happen a couple times in 5 years. Somehow Window got itself tangled up. I just exited BOINC and restarted and all was well.

Thanks an exit and restart fixed the problem. I should have through of that myself.

I wonder if IT will ever move on from "exit and restart" being the first go to advice?

Probably Not. Today's Operating Systems are just too complex and continually updated to eliminate all bugs. I still reboot all my machines once a week -- whether they need it or not! Sad but true.
