Yes, it's pretty horrible here. This weekend has been cooler, but it's supposed to go back up into the 30s again for another week. Not as bad as further out though. I'd never cope with the 40's they're getting. |

[quote]Last night was Australia's hottest on record The other day you were posted about the temp were you live being 46C. Right now I might be willing to trade with you. Where I live, just outside New York City on the East Coast of the United States the temp is 3.5F (-15C), with a wind chill of -20. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. |

With cold weather the old adage of there being no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothing applies. Some years ago when in the forces I experienced -40C in the North of Norway and with the right gear there was no problem. |

I'm in Sydney, a few miles in from the coast. Recently, the maximums have reached into the high 30s, with mid 40s west of the ranges. For the last few days it's been cloudy and mid 20s here, but it's due to go back up to 30-32 for a few days. I was wondering how to go about shipping some of the snow from the top half of the world down to here. I don't think that mailing it in lots of small parcels will work. And I think that when they did it on the Goon Show years ago, it was water to put out the fire in their embassy in China. :) |
