The Earth cools after volcanoes erupt. Now some researchers now think we should mimic those effects to reduce global warming. What could possibly go wrong?

One of the problems is determining the long-term effects. I would think that CPDN could play a role in that.

And there are conspiracy theorists who claim this is happening on a massive scale already. I know one who blames virtually any overcast day on this.

I think it has been established that the level of sunlight reaching the earth has been dropping for a couple of decades at least. It is apparently due to pollution and increasing cloud cover. It surprised the scientists quite a bit when they found it, as they just assumed that it was constant and never bothered to measure it.

The conspiracy is called civilization.
