Been almost 2 months and no projects for me to run...should I delete CP and use the space for projects that are active?

Correction, been well over 2 months...even then, they don't appear that often.

They always have shortages at various times, but this one seems to be a bit unusual. They are preparing new Linux models, some of them quite large. I think they require a lot of testing.
I am not sure about the Windows delay; that should be on a different timetable.

There were 600 Windows units less than 24 hours ago.
They were for batch 832, cam25, Wah2.
Took less than an hour to drain the hopper.

You better give that computer of yours a good talking to. :)

The one I have running BOINC under WINE must have been too drunk to get any.

There is stuff in the pipeline, both for Windows and Linux. Small test batch of open IFS tasks for Linux has produced two fails so far at the unpacking files stage. There is a much larger batch of hadcm3s tasks for Linux that has been having problems but they are trying to get it out at the moment.

Patience!

Edit: Five of the ifs tasks have completed or had when I last looked.

I can be patient, but it is not always easy, so the reminder is a good idea.

Meanwhile, in anticipation of larger models, I increased my RAM from 8GBytes to 16GBytes, and the boinc partition from about 25 GBytes to 120 Gbytes (roughly). At present, it is not using much of it, running CPDN, WCG, Rosetta, and Seti@home. I told boinc that the partition size is 80 GBytes because that is the most I can conveniently back up.

Un-installed and re-installed --- still no new projects in months.

Most of the work at present is for Linux.

However, there were 2,650 tasks for Windows about a day ago.
Which didn't last long with the thousands of Windows computers after work.

Hello,

I see several work units available on the project status page.

Could you tell me why ?
I suppose that is for Linux environment.
More generaly could you tell me which project is only for Windows environment ?

Best Regards,

Wilgard

WAH2 models are Windows only. HADCM3N (Coupled model full resolution) also, although they haven't been issued for years.
