For my Ubuntu machines, I get it from this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu/boinc I have had no problem upgrading two of them already. |

Anything notably new in this version? A few bug fixes mostly minor. There was one which for some users wouldn't be minor in 7.16.2 but I can't remember what it was from the BOINC fora. At the moment, unless you go into Options>other Options and enable exit dialogue and then exit using the File>exit dialogue and then make sure the stop running tasks when exiting the manager is not ticked, closing the manager (on the Linux Manager) with the X (in the top Right hand corner on my flavour of Linux) will kill the client. This is to do with having got rid of the sys tray icon in Linux. Richard is currently having a look at this so 7.16.4 may well sort this out. |
