My system crashed quite badly after a power cut. Upon restarting I had to do quite a bit of work to get her happy. My account lists lots of work in progress but there is nothing on BOINC? As several jobs were part-run is there a way of getting them back as CPDN isn't running on my system at all. The one good thing to come out of all this is finally tracking down a recurring issue that caused these crashes, and fixing it. Cheers Nick the formerly frustrated. No. cpdn doesn't use the "resend failed tasks" function. Those that still have another chance, as can be seen by the last number in the name, will eventually get sent to another computer. But this is such a long time, that the batch may well be closed before then. |

Nick - I have been down this road before. You account shows two computers. Since they have the same "specs" and based on the dates they were "created", I am assuming they are the same computer - One pre-crash and the other post-crash. The pre-crash computer shows 7 tasks in progress and the post-crash computer none. IF both computers have the same name (i.e. "Desktop"), go to your account, computers on this account, and try to "Merge computers by name" (at the bottom of the list). Then, go to the BOINC Manager and remove the project (CPDN). Wait a few minutes. Then, add the project back. Hopefully, CPDN will "abort" the tasks it thinks you have and then send them to someone else. This doesn't give you any work but you don't have anyway. It does get you and CPDN in sync. |

Thanks to both of you for the fast and comprehensive replies. Hopefully some work will get generated so I can start to get more tasks completed. Nick - Did you remove the project, and then after a few minutes, add the project back in? It looks like you merged your computers. The remove/add-the-project-back-in has cleared up the tasks that CPDN thinks I have in-progress but I don't. Stay home. Stay safe. |

Sorry but Yes, it's all done now and dinosaur and CPDN are on the same page. Using my self-isolation to deal with those 'I'll do that later' tasks. The 'Sort computer out' entry is taking longer than I thought. Thanks again for the help.
