I'm seeing people on the BOINC Discord who are trying to create an account on CPDN but get a "ReCAPTCHA failed" message - I just tried to create a new account myself and had the same problem.

More info - they said when trying to create account through BOINC Manager or BAM, they get "Account creation disabled."

Yes, there are a few other projects that require you to create an account on the website first then sign in with BOINC, though the OP seems to be saying they tried that and the recaptcha failed.

Finally, I was able to create an account.

Good afternoon.
I've spent the last 30 minutes or more trying to create an account.
Below are the steps that I've tried so far.

Can you please help me sign up to https://climateprediction.net/

I am using BOINC Manager and Google Chrome browser, on a Windows 11 laptop, with all the latest updates.

In BOINC, I:
clicked on "Add project"
chose climateprediction.net
selected "No, new user"
entered my email and password
clicked "Next"

I got a message saying:
"Failed to add project.
Messages from server:
Please visit the project website to create an account, then try again."

I did go to climateprediction.net.
On the homepage there is no link to the signup page.
I did eventually find a link to:
http://climateapps2.oerc.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/create_account_form.php

I entered my details, however, the reCaptcha has a message "ERROR for site owner: Invalid domain for site key"

So I can't signup from that webpage either.

Can't think what to suggest apart from trying a different browser. Just worked for me using firefox however I am on Linux. Is there anyone who could check this from a Windows machine? If trying another browser doesn't work I will let Andy know.(Not sure if he is on leave at the moment however and he is it when it comes to IT support for this sort of thing.

I ran into this, too. There is a large Join Up menu item that goes to https://climateprediction.net/getting-started/ and there there is no mention of creating an account here, just through BOINC. It would be good to update that page if this is no longer the case.
