That does seem a big adjustment. My first instinct was that it was a catch-up for credit that should have been awarded earlier, but I don't we'd ever got that far behind. My own credit is currently showing as 17,393,912.24 on the external aggregation sites, but 33,188,860 here - not quite a 100% jump, but near enough. I think that's enough to warrant an explanation, and if necessary an investigation. |

I think that's enough to warrant an explanation, and if necessary an investigation. I didn't check what mine was before I did a clean install of XUbuntu. Though in my VB installation where the upgrade worked I can see the increase of a factor of about 5 in RAC and one and a half in total credit. Given the years I have been with the project the increase in total does seem excessive unless Andy's work has discovered an awful lot of work for which I was never granted credit? - Betting on that not being the case. Not the only issue. but will post separately. |

Credit total is up by 20%. RAC, I wish :-) ( My total RAC is running at around 50,000, my RAC for CPDN is now 260,000+). |

The credit hike does seem a bit high. I had a bit over 80 tasks missing credit since last fall. Doing the math, it turns out to over 40k of credit per task got awarded for those tasks, which is definitely too high. I think the highest credit per task I've seen is in the 30k range and those weren't common. It looks like after the BOINC server update, credit changed for some of the OIFS task types from what was originally awarded. I guess it's OK if it was done uniformly for everyone. The biggest thing is that the missing credit issue seems to be resolved. |

Richard and Andy are looking at it. The credit should now update when the data is returned to CPDN so with the trickles now the new script has been transferred from the testing site. Edit: George did point out that my credit for some testing OIFS work was rather on the high side. Just remembered. |

Hello, yes it is a big hike. march 22 my credit was 38,080,349 today 51,034,646 and RAC was 0,02 and today 1,279,424 if only we had to crunch.... |

I saw the totally insane wrong RAC a week or so ago when the hardware move and software update happened. I deleted the tail of local statistics file , but want to allow new tasks soon. It's a minor annoyance. Allowing new work from CPDN is my major thing this week. |

One small saving grace is that the insane figures aren't being exported to the independent statistics aggregation sites yet. That bit of the system hasn't been reinstated after the server re-arrangement yet. |

The HADAM4 task I am running has just sent its first data and trickle uploads. I see that the new credit script has instantly granted the credit and it is commensurate with the amount of credit granted for these tasks in the past, i.e. 1/5 of the total credit for a 5 month N216 resolution task of that type. It is good to see the credit script works. |
