I have received and started an WIN EAS 25 from what appears to be a batch sequence of 1011. Just past 4% and moving along. Bill F |

There will another small batch out today or tomorrow to test some updated files. We expect this to work. Then were will be a 5000 workunit batch to follow soon after the test. This will be the aerosol (AER) experiment tested with batch 1013. We are checking the upload server disk space availability before sending out any further batches. There are plans for a further 5 Weather@Home batches for the East Asia 25km experiments to come. --- CPDN Visiting Scientist |

Batch 1015 is being released now. This is the next batch in the East Asia 25km configuration (eas25). We do not anticipate significant problems with this batch. As always, please open a new thread to report specific issues. --- CPDN Visiting Scientist |

There will be a new batch going out in the next few days for the New Zealand 25km configuration (nz25). There will be a subsequent batch afterwards, but not soon due to storage constraints. For the East Asia 25km configuration, we have identified the main issue with the failing runs. There was a slight discrepancy between what the model treated as land points compared to what the new sea-surface temperature fields treated as land. This has been corrected and is currently under test. I can't give a date for the release of the batches yet. --- CPDN Visiting Scientist |

Thanks for the news about the new data for the New Zealand work :-) Do we know yet how much of the East Asia data is affected by the anomalous handling of land vs sea? |

Do we know yet how much of the East Asia data is affected by the anomalous handling of land vs sea?Batches 1006 & 1007 are fine. 1008-1012 are not (though we knew this anyway from earlier posts). The latter ones are still being looked at as far as I know. --- CPDN Visiting Scientist |

Unfortunately I downloaded all the testing tasks on my AMD box. I am going to send some files that Sarah requested once the restarts have been produced and then abort all or some depending on what Sarah wants so hopefully they can be picked up on an Intel box. After that I will probably be turning everything off for a few days while I have a hip replacement! |

I have two Intel boxes. One is Linux and does 13 Boinc tasks at a time, and the other is Windows10 and does up to 7 Boinc tasks at a time. app_config.xml limets the first to 6 CPDN tasks and the other to 4 CPDN tasks. I had a hip replaced a few years ago and the surgeon did a good job. If I were younger, I would have been in and out of the hospital the same day, but at my age they were going to keep me overnight. On the next day everything was OK except my blood pressure was 70/40 as a side-effect from the anesthesia, so they kept me another night. They prescribed me a bottle of 20 Oxycodone tablets for pain, but I had no pain, so I did not use any of them. They sent a physical therapist three times a week for two weeks, and then I did some more PT on an outpatient basis. I hope your surgeon is as good as mine. |

Apologies fro going of topic. No need to apologize to me. Remember this: Minor surgery is when they do it to you. Major surgery is when they do it to me. |

Yep. Nothing wrong with batch 1005. If there's a suspect problem with a batch, we disable resends while we investigate. There will be a new batch going out in the next few days for the New Zealand 25km configuration (nz25). I got four resends from batch 1005 yesterday. They were all from the same computer and had failed at the same clock time but at different stages in the task. |

Two batches for OpenIFS have gone out. These are linux only. They are for the baroclinic lifecycle configuration used last year. I don't have much information about the difference between the two batches yet. Will post when I do. --- CPDN Visiting Scientist |

It's a new app 1.13 Yesterday a small batch 1016, the same size and speed as before, ran fine on my little box. Today a bigger batch 1017 now for 20 days instead of 15 and deadline of just 1 month. |

I *think* 1017 is the production batch and 1016 was just testing, but Andy hasn't provided any information so I am not sure. I have asked him. --- CPDN Visiting Scientist |

I am not anyone special,so I doubt they would be sending me test tasks (though I am quite willing to run them). One of them is running and has clocked 6 minutes, so I guess it is running OK. |

According to the Server Status page, there are nearly 1500 ready to send (and I've got 5 already). |
