Today I recieved a message advising me of a new core client ver 4.09 (from SETI server). My question is, will updating the core client screw up my experiment? I\'ve got a box almost through spin up and I\'m unwilling to trash this run. Will climate prediction continue to run on the 4.05 client?

I have migrated 4 clients to 4.09, and have not had any problems.

Do not uninstall, or detach. Merely stop BOINC and install over the top.

As some people have had problems in upgrading, it would be wise to save a copy of the BOINC directory as a backup. If you should have a difficulty you can then revert and try again. Personally, I was fine. :)

Regular backups are sensible anyway.
